Why should I have my manuscript professionally edited?
In our society, image is everything. Unfortunately, even if you have a great idea, if your work is poorly edited, you are not taken as seriously.

What can I expect for my fee?
Your project will be fully edited, and manuscripts submitted for line editing will also receive a critique letter. We are also available to answer any questions you may have about your project or the editorial process.

Do you input corrections?
Yes. We do electronic editing using Microsoft Word’s track change feature. If you are not familiar with this program, we strongly suggest that you have your editing done on paper. Although you will have to input the changes yourself, this will be easier than trying to figure out how to work a new program.

What type of payment do you accept?
Checks or money orders made payable to Taylor Editorial Service are accepted. For your convenience, you may also make payments via credit card for an additional fee.

Can payment arrangements be made?
Payment arrangements are available upon request.

Do you have references I can contact?
Yes. References are available upon request.

How long will it take to edit my manuscript?
Depending on the length of the project and editor availability, the editorial process ranges from two days up to three weeks from the actual start date since the focus is on accuracy rather than speed. Projects are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and are formally scheduled as soon as a signed contract and deposit are received. Although some quick turnarounds can be accommodated, please note there is an extra fee for this service.

Will I be published if my manuscript is edited?
There are no guarantees that your manuscript will be published, but it will be polished so that it meets the requirements of most agents and publishers.

Have any of your clients been published?
Yes, many of our clients have chosen to self-publish and several have landed book deals. For more information, please see a sampling of our projects.

I have an idea, but I’m not a writer. How can Taylor Editorial Service help me?
Taylor Editorial Service will be happy to consult with you about your idea and help you to outline your project. We can also write the book for you if you don’t have the time or know-how.

I have a good idea for a book, and I know I can land a deal if you write it for me. Can I pay you after I land the deal?
No. Taylor Editorial Service does not work on spec. All money must be paid before your project will be returned to you.
